Outpatient Rehab Hillsboro, Ohio
Hillsboro, Ohio Opiate Rehab, Drug Rehab, and Detox Resources
Opiate addiction continues to be a problem in communities across the state of Ohio. Because of the accessibility of prescription painkillers and even heroin, there has been a dramatic rise in the number of people using these drugs. Even in smaller communities like Hillsboro, opiate addiction is causing a serious problem.
Opiates like heroin, fentanyl, and morphine are the most commonly abused substances in the United States right now. These drugs cause a feeling of euphoria and a numbing of the person’s pain and emotions. As opiate drugs are fulfilling addicts’ desire to get high, they are causing serious consequences, including overdose and death.
Highland County emergency workers were called to 92 overdoses in 2012, 101 in 2013, 105 in 2014 and 105 in 2015. In 2016, the total rose to 170 (Highland County Sheriff). These numbers are reflective of trends throughout the rest of the state.
An increasing number of people are using and abusing not only typical prescription opiates and street drugs like heroin, but in order to get a better high many are now using much stronger drugs. Carfentanil is an opiate medication used to tranquilize large animals such as elephants and is estimated to be 8,000 times more potent than heroin.

Suboxone Detox Doctors and Centers in Hillsboro, Ohio
Suboxone clinics near Hillsboro:
Some people try to recover by simply using opiate replacement drugs like suboxone. This medication was designed to stop withdrawal symptoms and curb cravings because it replaces the addictive opiate with a safer medication that can’t be abused. However, if this is all the help the individual gets, they will likely relapse back to using their opiate drugs within a year.
In order to stop the cycle and help the person get sober, including weaning off of the suboxone eventually, they need rehab and therapy. A program like Northland’s outpatient opiate rehab helps individuals understand their addiction, develop coping skills, practice sobriety, heal emotional wounds, and find a support system for relapse prevention. Addiction recovery is not easy, but it is possible with the right help.
Northland offers a more intensive SIOP (Suboxone Intensive Outpatient Program) which uses medications like Suboxone to manage detox and treat opiate addiction. The SIOP phase lasts one to two weeks after detox and then you will transition to our IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) which is three times a week for 12 weeks. We have morning and evening options available. After IOP you will attend 52 weeks of aftercare which is a once per week group. If you present to us with a substance use issue other than opiates you will be placed directly into the IOP level of care. Northland’s Suboxone intensive outpatient program (SIOP) for opiate addiction recovery allows the individual to recover with a combination of Suboxone and counseling services, which prepares the person for a sober life. This program is covered 100% by Medicaid and as out of network by most insurance companies.
