Just as with many other diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, addiction does not go away on its own. In order to treat this disease, the person must first detox from their substance and then go through intensive therapy to prepare themselves for sobriety.

Addiction is a disease that must be managed for life, through counseling and participation in support groups. It takes focus and attention every day, but over time it does get easier. Those in recovery for opiate addiction find sobriety more enjoyable if shared with others, either with supportive family members who are committed to the journey or with a group of encouraging sober individuals.

Northland Treatment Center, located in Milford, Ohio, helps families overcome the disease of addiction. Our outpatient rehab program provides the area with effective solutions for opiate and other addiction.

Outpatient Opiate Rehab

The first phase of opiate rehab is detox, where the individual cleanses his or her body of the opiates they have become dependent on. Northland offers an ambulatory detox program, where the person can take medication home to keep them comfortable while they detox.

The second phase is therapy in either a residential or outpatient setting. Northland is an outpatient rehab center, offering the intensive therapy sessions needed for healing and recovery in the flexibility and convenience of an outpatient setting. Our Suboxone outpatient rehab program helps individuals begin their recovery journey on a positive note, and keeps them engaged in the healing process. We then connect clients with therapy sessions that will solidify their recovery and help with long-term sobriety.

The final and longest stage of treatment is aftercare. During this phase, the newly recovered individual will put into practice what they learned in rehab. Northland customizes each client’s aftercare program so they have a plan that will keep them connected to the recovery community for support whenever they need it. Clients in our aftercare program attend support group sessions regularly, participate in alumni programming, and make use of therapy sessions when needed.

Suboxone Detox Doctors and Centers in Norwood, Ohio

Norwood is close to several clinics that will dispense suboxone for those trying to get clean from opiate addiction:

Suboxone and medications like it are helpful for opiate addiction recovery because they keep the individual comfortable during what is often the scariest part of recovery. Most people fear detox and therefore don’t put much thought into the rest of recovery. But by minimizing or taking the withdrawal symptoms away, the person can focus on identifying the reasons they use in the first place and how they can stop the cycle of addiction.

Northland offers a 10-day suboxone intensive outpatient program (SIOP) for opiate addiction recovery, followed by individual and group therapy sessions using effective methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. We also encourage family involvement and we help loved ones heal together and repair relationships, which also takes the stress out of the situation and provides a support system for the recovering addict.

Northland is Ohio’s premier opiate addiction treatment center. Northland offers a more intensive SIOP (Suboxone Intensive Outpatient Program) which uses medications like Suboxone to manage detox and treat opiate addiction. The SIOP phase lasts one to two weeks after detox and then you will transition to our IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) which is three times a week for 12 weeks. We have morning and evening options available. After IOP you will attend 52 weeks of aftercare which is a once per week group. If you present to us with a substance use issue other than opiates you will be placed directly into the IOP level of care. The cost of this program is completely covered by Medicaid and as out of network by most private insurance.
